Involvement

Parent involvement is an important feature of Queens Paideia School and part of what makes it work so well. Parents are involved in different ways, depending on their circumstances. Even parents who work full-time can participate meaningfully in their child’s education. Many work with them at home to continue their progress, and regularly celebrate their learning achievements. Some parents bring their skills, hobbies, and professional experience to the classroom by teaching enrichment classes. Others assist in planning and chaperoning field trips.

Our learning managers reach out regularly to parents with suggestions for how they can help their children achieve their learning objectives, both academic and social. The result is a cohesive sense of family, school, and community, and the belief that learning can occur anywhere and at any time.
