As one of our students’ last art projects of this academic year, instructor Donna Levinstone asked each of them to research a global issue of concern and make a statement poster about it. Students of all ages did this, so younger kids tended to focus on “Save the [insert animal or plant here]” themes while older ones explored issues they had encountered in current events work, and by simply being aware in this day and age: environment, gun control, global warming. We love the diversity of thematic expression and artistic style in their final pieces, and when they hung together on a wall, the impact was real and immediate. Take a look at some of them. Pretty sure you will agree.
